Wet Rubbing Fastness Improver
Rubfast-467 is a speciality finishing agent to improve dry and wet rub fastness of all types of dyed and printed cotton and their blends. Rubfast-467 is compatible with certain cationic and nonionic silicone finishing agents. Rubfast-467 can be applied by both dry-on-wet and wet-on-wet application.

Application Padding Method :
- Step wise procedure for preparing Rubfast-467 solution :
- Take required quantity of Rubfast-467 (30 g/l)
- To this, gradually add water (pH 5.8-6.2) and make the total volume
- Mix well to get uniform solution
- Solution of 30 g/l Rubfast-467 will appear Colourless to straw white liquid with pH 3.7-4.2
Padding Application :
- Pad -> Dry at 130-160 deg.C
Exhaust Method (Rubfast-467 in Garment) :
- Step wise procedure for preparing Rubfast-467 solution :
- Take required quantity of (3-5% on weight of garment) and mix it uniformly
- To this, gradually add water (pH 5.8-6.2) and make the total volume
- Mix well to get uniform solution
- Solution of 3-5% Rubfast-467 will appear Colourless to straw white liquid with pH 3.7-4.2
Exhaust process :
- 40 deg.C, 20-30 min (with intermittent stirring)
- Dry --> Curing @ 150-160 deg.C, 2-3 min
Special Instructions :
1. If the water pH > 6.2, adjust it to pH 5.8-6.2 and then use.
2. 30 g/l Rubfast-467 will appear Colourless to straw white.
3. Avoid using hard water.
4. Prepare the solution at room temperature (approx. 30 deg.C).
5. The prepared solution should be kept under constant stirring and used immediately.
6. Do not keep Rubfast-467 stock solution standing.
7. Ensure that the padding bath pH is 3.7-4.2 throughout the process.
8. Pre-lab trials are recommended with other finishing agents.
9. On standing, the product tends to turn darker.
Storage: Store in cool, ventilated shed away from heat and direct sunlight. Storage temperature should not exceed 35 deg C.Close lids firmly to avoid contact with air and moisture.
Shelf Life : 12 months from the date of manufacturing, if stored under controlled conditions.
