Sarasoft-OZ (Conc) is a special softener which gives excellent protection to denim garments against ozone fading. Sarasoft-OZ (Conc) can be applied by exhaust method as well as by padding on fabric. In all the denim shades, it does not affect light fastness. Apart from improving resistance to ozone fading, it confers soft handle. Sarasoft-OZ (Conc) does not affect seam slippage of the treated fabric.

1. Exhaust Method:


0.5-1% Sarasoft-OZ (Conc) for normal shade


0.7-2% Sarasoft-OZ (Conc) for very light shades pH to 5-6, treat at 45-50 deg.C for 10-20 min. 

Hydroextract and tumble dry.

2. Padding Method:


5-10 g/l Sarasoft-OZ (Conc)

pH 5-6, pad with 60-70% pick-up, dry at 130-140 deg.C.

For optimum results, the pH of the bath should be kept between 5-6 to improve stability of softener and reduce yellowing.

Dilution of Sarasoft-OZ(Conc) to 20% of Sarasoft-OZ

  • Take 27kgs of Sarasoft-OZ(Conc) in SS vessel and to it add 73kgs of water (60-65°C)
  • Stir for 15-20 mins till homogeneous. 

It is recommended to add 0.1% Bronopol (2, Bromo 2 Nitropropane, 1,3 Diol) or Methyl Paraben (Methyl Para Hydroxy Benzoate) as an antimicrobial agent to avoid fungal/microbial formation.

Storage : Store in cool, ventilated shed away from heat and direct sunlight. Storage temperature should not exceed 35 deg C. Close lids firmly to avoid contact with air and moisture.

Shelf Life : 9 months from the date of manufacturing, if stored under controlled conditions.
