QUENCH-APY | Phenolic Yellowing Preventer

Product Information

Quench-APY is a low foaming product to prevent phenolic yellowing of lycra, polyamide, polyester, cotton and their blends during storage, packed in polyethylene bags or cardboard cartons. Quench-APY prevents phenolic yellowing on different substrates in presence of conventional softeners. Quench-APY can be applied by padding and by exhaust method.

Application

Padding Process: 

  • Dosage : 20-80 g/l, Cotton, Polyamide and Polyamide / Lycra (depending on requirement) : 10-20 g/l, Polyester
  • Pick-up : 65-70%
  • Bath pH : 4.0-4.5
  • Drying : 140-160 deg.C, 1-2 min.

Exhaust Process : 

  • Dosage : 3-7%, Cotton, Polyamide and Polyamide / Lycra : 1-2%, Polyester
  • Bath pH : 4.0-4.5
  • Bath Temp. : 65-70 deg.C
  • Time : 20-30 mins.

Instructions For Dilution

Procedure to prepare 30% Quench-APY

  • Take 36.5 parts of Quench-APY
  • To this, add 63.5 parts DM water under constant stirring at 150-200 rpm.
  • Continue stirring for 20-30 mins.to obtain a homogenous product

Preservation: It is recommended to add 0.1% Bronopol (2-bromo2-nitropropane-1,3 diol) or Methyl Paraben (methyl para hydroxy benzoate) as an antimicrobial agent to avoid fungal/microbial growth.

Note:
  • For 50% Quench-APY take 61 parts product and 39 parts DM water
  • Dilution procedure will remain same as above

It is advisable to utilize the diluted product within 2 months. Stir well before use.

Precautions

Storage : Store in cool, ventilated shed away from heat and direct sunlight. Storage temperature should not exceed 35 deg C.Close lids firmly to avoid contact with air and moisture.

Shelf Life : 9 months from the date of manufacturing, if stored under controlled conditions.
