  • Drying : 100-110 deg.C
  • Curing : 140-150 deg.C, 3-4 min OR 170-180 deg.C, 1-2min
  • Concentration of Saraflam-TR will depend upon pick up as well as performance required.
  • Usually around 20-25% add-on of Saraflam-TR is necessary.
  • Saraflam-TR can also be applied by spraying method using a suitable device
  • Lab trials are essential to arrive at required dosage.
  • Ensure that padding temperature does not exceed 30 deg.C.

Saraflam-TR can pass the following tests :

1. BS-3119 (1959) vertical flame test with 12 seconds of flame.

2. BS-3120

3. Federal test method standard 19A or 5908 - 45 deg.angle test.

4. BS 5852, flammability of upholstery material - cigarette butt test

Note :

Many common finishing chemicals may hamper the performance of Saraflam-TR. Therefore lab trials are essential while finalising the dosage of Saraflam-TR and the recipe. Wetting of the finished fabric by rain water or by other means can reduce flammability as Saraflam-TR is soluble in water.

Saraflam-TR being a complex blend of products has slight tendency to show trace sedimentation at the bottom, but this does not impact product efficiency. It is recommended to shake the carboy or drum well before use and the trace sedimentation will get dissolved in water during use.

Storage: Store in cool, ventilated shed away from heat and direct sunlight. Storage temperature should not exceed 35 deg C.Close lids firmly to avoid contact with air and moisture.
