Product Information

Ferafix-PDM is newly developed formaldehyde free, powder dye fixing agent for cellulosic’s dyed with reactive dyes and direct dyes and Indigo dyed and Sulphur dyed denims. Ferafix-PDM shows excellent improvement in washing fastness, perspiration fastness and water fastness. It does not impair the shade of the fabric and no adverse effect on the light fastness property of dyed fabric. It is applicable by exhaust as well as pad application.

Application

 For Reactive dyed fabrics 

 After thorough soaping of reactive dyed fabrics, treat in a fresh bath with below recipe:

Exhaust Process Continuous Process
Dosage : 0.5-0.7% Dosage : 5-7 gpl
Bath pH : 5.0-5.5 Pick-up : 65-70%
Bath Temp : 30-40 deg.C Bath pH : 5.0-5.5
Time. : 15-30 min. Drying : 130-170 deg.C

For Indigo & Sulphur dyed fabrics

Exhaust Process Padding Process
Dosage : 0.7-1.7% Dosage :7-17 gpl
Bath pH : 5.0-5.5 Pick-up :65-70%
Bath Temp : 30-40 deg.C Bath pH :5.0-5.5
Time. : 15-20 min. Drying :110-130 deg.C

For Direct dyed fabrics

 After thorough soaping of Direct dyed fabrics, treat in a fresh bath with below recipe:

Dosage : 1.5-2.5% Dosage : 15-25 gpl
Bath pH : 3.5-4.5 Pick-up : 65-70%
Bath Temp : 30-40 deg.C Bath pH : 3.5-4.5
Time. : 15-30 min. Drying : 130-170 deg.C

Instructions for Dilution

Procedure to prepare 20% Ferafix-PDM 

  • Take 80 parts of DM water 
  • To this, gradually add 20 parts Ferafix-PDM with constant stirring 
  • Continue stirring to obtain homogenous solution 
  • Filter it to remove un-dissolved particles if any 
Precautions

Storage : Store in cool, ventilated shed away from heat and direct sunlight. Storage temperature should not exceed 35 deg C. Close lids firmly to avoid contact with air and moisture. 

Shelf Life : 9 months from the date of manufacturing, if stored under controlled conditions.
