5. APPLICATION - It is a macrocyclic ligand.

- Used as contrast agent in imaging MRI.

- Can be Use as an anti-oxidant chelator for disaggregating amyloid by converting   pyridine backbone into pyridol backbone. This chelates can be used for   Alzheimer's disease.

- Pyclen Can be used in preparation of nitroimidazole. Nitroimidazole conjugate is   suitable for assessment of hypoxia in vivo.

- Pyclen based macrocyclic picolinate ligands can be used in radiology.
