Wet Rubbing Fastness Improver

Zorofast-FMD is a speciality finishing agent to improve dry and wet rub fastness of all types of dyed and printed cotton and their blends. It is compatible with certain cationic and nonionic silicone finishing agents. It can be applied by both dry-on-wet and wet-on-wet application. Zorofast-FMD complies with the eco parameters.

Padding Method

Step wise procedure for preparing Zorofast-FMD solution

• Take required quantity of Zorofast-FMD (30 g/l)
• To this, gradually add water (pH 5.8-6.2) and make the total volume
• Mix well to get uniform solution
• Solution of 30 g/l Zorofast-FMD will appear Colourless to straw white liquid with pH 3.7-4.2

Padding Application :

Pad -> Dry at 130-160 deg.C

Exhaust method - in Garment :

Step wise procedure for preparing Zorofast-FMD solution 

• Take required quantity of (3-5% on weight of garment) and mix it uniformly
• To this, gradually add water (pH 5.8-6.2) and make the total volume
• Mix well to get uniform solution
• Solution of 3-5% Zorofast-FMD will appear Colourless to straw white liquid
•  with pH 3.7-4.2

Exhaust process :

• 40deg.C, 20-30 min (with intermittent stirring)
• Dry --> Curing @ 150-160 deg.C, 2-3 min

• Mix well to get a uniform solution
• Solution of 30 g/l Zorofast-FMD will appear slight hazy and turbid with pH 3.7-4.2

Pad -> Dry at 130-160 deg.C

Exhaust method - Zorofast-FMD in Garment: 

Stepwise procedure for preparing Zorofast-FMD solution

• Take 0.3-0.6 g/l acetic acid
• To this add required quantity of Zorofast-FMD (3-5% on weight of garment) and mix it uniformly
• Make the total volume with water (pH 5.8-6.2) mix it uniformly
• Mix well to get a uniform solution
• Solution of 3-5% Zorofast-FMD will appear slight hazy and turbid with pH 3.7-4.2

Exhaust process:

40deg.C, 20-30 min (with intermittent stirring)
Dry --> Curing @ 150-160 deg.C, 2-3 min

Special Instructions:

• If the water pH>6.2, adjust it to pH 5.8-6.2 and then use.
• 30 g/l Zorofast-FMD will appear slight hazy and turbid.
• The prepared solution to be kept under constant stirring and to be used immediately.
• Do not keep Zorofast-FMD stock solution standing.
• Ensure that the padding bath pH is 3.7-4.2 throughout the process.
• Fabric to be treated should be free from anionic components.
• Do not use Zorofast-FMD in print paste.
• Pre-lab trials are recommended with other finishing agents.
• The absorbency of fabric should be instant. To improve absorbency of all over printed fabric (reactive/pigment), 0.2-0.5 g/l Celldet-R (wetting agent) is to be added in the finishing bath.
• pH of the fabric should be neutral.

Storage : Store in cool, ventilated shed away from heat and direct sunlight. Storage temperature should not exceed 35 deg C.Close lids firmly to avoid contact with air and moisture.

Shelf Life : 9 months from the date of manufacturing, if stored under controlled conditions.
