Rubfast-716 is a speciality finishing agent to improve dry and wet rub fastness of all types of dyed and printed cotton and their blends. It is suitable for indigo denim fabric as it will not give back staining and patchiness during finishing. Rubfast-716 can be applied by both dry-on-wet and wet-on-wet application.

Application
Step wise procedure for preparing Rubfast-716 solution :
- Take required quantity of Rubfast-716 (30 g/l OR 3%)
- To this, gradually add water (pH 5.8-6.2) and make the total volume
- Mix well to get uniform solution
- Recipe of Rubfast-716 will appear Colourless to straw white liquid with pH 3.7-4.2. If this pH is not achieved, add 0.3-0.5gpl Acetic acid
Padding Application :
Pad -> Dry at 130-160 deg.C
Exhaust process :
40deg.C, 20-30 min (with intermittent stirring)
Dry --> Curing @ 150-160 deg.C, 2-3 min
Special Instructions :
1. Fabric to be treated should be free from anionic components.
2. Absorbency of fabric should be instant.
3. For garments, it is essential to cure at 150 deg.C after exhaustion
4. If the water pH>6.2, adjust it to pH 5.8-6.2 and then use.
5. 30 g/l Rubfast-716 will appear Colourless to straw white.
6. Avoid using hard water.
7. Prepare the solution at room temperature (approx.30 deg.C)
8. Do not keep Rubfast-716 stock solution standing.
9. Ensure that the padding bath pH is 3.7-4.2 throughout the process.
10.Pre-lab trials are recommended with other finishing agents.
11.On standing the product tends to turn darker.
12.Rubfast-716 has limited durability to washings.
Storage : Store in cool, ventilated shed away from heat and direct sunlight. Storage temperature should not exceed 35 deg C. Close lids firmly to avoid contact with air and moisture.
Shelf Life : 9 months from the date of manufacturing, if stored under controlled conditions.
