SARASIL-JS


Product Information


Sarasil-JS is a silicone based defoamer suitable for all textile wet processing operations, where foam control is essential. It can be used in jets, overflow dyeing machines, package dyeing machines, winches, jiggers and in print paste. Sarasil-JS does not lead to any objectionable deposits on equipments or substrates due to its high stability.

Application


Sarasil-JS is stable to high alkaline pH and at elevated temperature.

Depending upon the requirement 0.5-1.0 g/l Sarasil-JS can be used.


Note :


1. Sarasil-JS is a surfactant free dispersion, stabilised

with protective colloids and hence its dispersions appears non-homogeneous. However, such products should ideally not diluted to stock solutions, but diluted immediately before use.


2. For preparing stock solution small quantity of Xanthan gum (0.3-0.4% on weight of stock solution) or synthetic thickener is recommended.


3. Sarasil-JS is not advisable to use in high temperature /high pressure machines and hence cannot be used in polyester dyeing.

Precautions

Storage Store in cool, ventilated shed away from heat and direct sunlight. Storage temperature should not exceed 35 deg C.Close lids firmly to avoid contact with air and moisture.
Shelf Life 8 months from the date of manufacturing, if stored under controlled conditions
