SARAKOL-NF (CONC)

Product Information

Sarakol-NF (Conc) is a low foaming wetting and deaerating agent for continuous dyeing as well as exhaust application particularly for dyeing of yarn in package form. Due to its excellent wetting action, an uniform wetting takes place in a shorter time which results into uniform shade in continuous dyeing. In exhaust application it helps to remove entrapped air thus results in through wetting before addition of any other chemical. Sarakol-NF (Conc) can also be added in desizing by pad batch application to improve pick-up.

General Characteristics

Application

1. Exhaust application

0.4 - 0.6 g/l Sarakol-NF (Conc)

add at room temperature and circulate for 5 mins. before addition of any other chemicals.

2. Pad application

0.8 - 1.6 g/l Sarakol-NF (Conc)

pH 5-6, pad with 65-70% pick up, dry at 140-160 deg.C.

Instructions For Dilution

Procedure to prepare 40% Sarakol-NF (Conc)

- Take 42 parts of Sarakol-NF (Conc)

- To this, slowly add liquor ammonia under cooling with stirring to adjust pH 8-8.5

- Add 1.5 parts of hexylene glycol and stir for 5 mins.

- Add 5 parts of 2-ethyl hexanol and 5 parts of isopropyl alcohol with stirring

- Continue stirring to get homogenous solution

- Allow it to cool and finally add DM waer to make total volume of 100 ml

Note :

It is recommended to further add isopropyl alcohol (1-2%) for obtaining clear solution.

Preservations :

It is recommended to add 0.1% Bronopol (2-Bromo, 2-nitropropane, 1,3-did) or Methyl Paraben (Methyl parahydroxy benzoate) as an antimicrobial agent to avoid fungal/microbial growth.
