FLAMGUARD-DPS | Halogen Free Flame Retardants & Fire Retardants

Flamguard-DPS is durable flame retardant finishing chemical for 100% polyester and polyester rich blend. Flamguard-DPS is halogen free. Fabric finished with Flamguard-DPS shows minimum effect on shade and posses good fastness to home laundering and dry cleaning. Flamguard-DPS does not have any effect on the drape of the treated fabric. Flamguard-DPS has low volatility and does not lead to fogging. Flamguard-DPS is suitable for protective work wear, furnishing fabrics, curtains and automotive textiles made from 100% polyester and polyester rich blend. It is applicable by padding and by spray method. They can be applied on polyester and polypropylene nonwoven fabrics also.

Application

Before finishing with Flamguard-DPS, ensure that residues from earlier treatment such as lubricants, surfactants, softners, dyeing chemicals etc. are thoroughly removed by efficient washing otherwise these could interfere with performance of Flamguard-DPS

Flamguard-DPS	: 60-160 g/l
Sarawet NF	: 1-2 g/l (optional)
Pick-up	: 40-70%
Drying	: 120-130 deg.C
Thermofix	: 190-210 deg.C, 30-60 sec

- Ensure that the padding temperature does not exceed 30 deg.C

- The add-on with Flamguard-DPS should be 14-15%

Flamguard-DPS can pass following tests.

1. BS-3119 (1959) & BS-3120 Vertical flame test for flame proof materials

2. BS-5867 & DOC FF 3/71

Precautions

Storage	Store in cool, ventilated shed away from heat and direct sunlight. Storage temperature should not exceed 35 deg C.Close lids firmly to avoid contact with air and moisture.
Shelf Life	8 months from the date of manufacturing, if stored under controlled conditions
