PRODUCT LITERATURE

FABCLEAN-BI

Product Information

Fabclean-BI is an acid cellulase enzyme for bio-polishing of cellulosics and polyester/cellulosic blends. The product is to be used in garment dyeing machine and jet dyeing machines where suitable mechanical action is provided which enhances the action of Fabclean-BI To avoid excess strength loss of garments and materials after bio-polishing, we recommend deactiviation of Fabclean-BI after the treatment.

Key Features & Benefits

Key Features Benefits
Versatile Combined peroxide elimination and bio-polishing can be carried out

Suitable for colour fading for denim garments and bio-polishing of knits, fabrics & terry towels
Controlled action Minimum shade change in dyed material and minimum strength loss

General Characteristics

Physical appearance Brownish Liquid
Ionic nature Nonionic
pH of 1% Solution 5 +/- 1
Miscibility Readily miscibile with water
Compatibility Not Compatible with strong cationic or anionic products
Stability Stable to dilute acids & dilute alkalies

Application

Equipment - Jet dyeing machine or garment dyeing machine.
Fabclean-BI - 0.5-1.2% depending on requirement
pH - 4.8-5.5
Temperature - 55-60 deg.C
Treatment time - 30-45 min

Note :

  1. Solution of Fabclean-BI should be prepared in water of pH 4.8 pH 4.8 - 5.5 only. Add Fabclean-BI in two steps at the interval of 20-30 min.

After the bio-polishing treatment, raise the temperature to 70 deg.C and/or adjust pH to 10 to terminate action of enzyme. The material can then be finished using chemical finishes as usual.

  2. Combined bio-polishing and peroxide elimination can be carried out of cotton knits and terry towels prior to reactive dyeing. Bio-polishing is usually recommended before cationic dye-fixation or cationic softening.
