Dyeassist-PA (CONC) is a cationic retarder and levelling agent for acrylics ( fibre, yarn, fabric, garments). It has high affinity for acrylic fibres. It regulates the strike rate of cationic dyes by competing with dyes for active groups in the fibre. The high initial retarding action is particularly effective on fibres with a higher strike rate. The product is used for levelling of faulty dyeing on acrylics. Acrylic fibres can be dyed by either batch or continuous processes.
Key Features | Benefits |
---|---|
Retardering action | Good retarding action levelling of faulty dyeing |
Stable to hard water | Works even under adverse conditions of process water |
Physical appearance | Off white viscous liquid with lumps |
Ionic nature | Cationic |
pH of 1% solution | 5 +/- 1 |
Miscibility | Readily miscible in water |
Stability | Stable to dilute acids, salts and hard water, not stable to alkalies |
Compatibility | Compatible with cationic and nonionic products |
% Dyestuff |

0.1 | 1.5-2 | 1.75 - 2.5 |
0.1-0.5 | 1.0-1.5 | 1.75 - 2.25 |

1-2 | 0.75-1.5 | 1.25 - 1.5 |
2-4 | 0.5-0.75 | 0.6 - 1.25 |
is recommended as a retarder in acrylic dyeing. Concentration of Dyeassist-PA(CONC) is inversely proportional to the depth of shade. For fibres with higher rate of dyeing, higher concentration of Dyeassist-PA(CONC) is recommended.
Instructions For Dilution
Procedure to prepare 25% Dyeassist-PA (Conc)
- Take 62.5 parts of Dyeassist-PA (Conc)
- To this, add 37.5 parts of DM water under constant stirring.
- Continue stirring to obtaine homogeneous liquid
Preservation: It is recommended to add 0.1% Bronopol (2-Bromo,2-nitropropane, 1,3-diol) or Methyl Paraben (methyl para hydroxy benzoate) as an antimicrobial agent to avoid fungal / microbial growth
Storage | Store in cool, ventilated shed away from heat and direct sunlight. Storage temperature should not exceed 35 deg C.Close lids firmly to avoid contact with air and moisture. |
Shelf Life | 8 months from the date of manufacturing, if stored under controlled conditions |
