Product Information

Sarasol-1101 is a thickening agent which is applied in the pre-treatment padding process before Ink-Jet printing on various substrates. Sarasol-1101 is suitable on all types of fabrics printed with disperse, reactive and acid inks. Sarasol-1101 being a high molecular weight product locally increases the viscosity thereby prevents spreading of prints. Sarasol-1101 delivers level prints with sharp outlines and improved colour value. It has a film forming and adhesion property. The advantage of Sarasol-1101 is ready to use product with consistent viscosity. Sarasol-1101 is stable as there is no bacterial attack. The feel of the fabric is not affected.

Application

1. Ink-Jet printing on Polyester (Disperse ink)

Pre-treatment (Padding)

  • Sarasol-1101 : 50-80 g/l
  • Sarakol-NF : 1-3 g/l
  • Kitex-BO : 5-10 g/l
  • Pad -> Dry -> Print (Ink-jet printing)

Ink-Jet Printing

  • Printing : Ink-jet with disperse ink
  • Steaming : 170-180 deg.C, 6-8 min. OR
  • Thermofix : 180-190 deg.C, 1-2 min. OR
  • Calendering : 200-210 deg.C, 30 sec.

After-treatment (washing)

  • Cold wash : 5 mins.
  • Reduction clearing: 0.5-0.75 g/l, Reducon-ACD (Conc) at 4.5-5.0 pH, 60-70 deg.C, 10 mins.

2. Ink-Jet printing on Cotton or Viscose (Reactive ink)

Pre-treatment

  • Sarasol-1101 : 60-100 g/l
  • Sarakol-NF : 1-3 g/l
  • Urea : 50-100 g/l
  • Soda ash : 30-40 g/l
  • Super R Salt : 10-15 g/l
  • Pad -> Dry -> Print (Ink-Jet printing)

Ink-Jet Printing

  • Printing : Ink-Jet with Reactive ink
  • Steaming : 102-105 deg.C, 7-10 min. OR
  • Thermofix : 140-150 deg.C, 3-5 min.

After treatment (Washing)

  • Cold wash : 5 mins
  • Soaping : 1-2 g/l Sarakol-1583, 98 deg.C,5 mins.(twice)
  • Hot wash : 3 mins at boil (twice)
  • Cold wash : 5 mins.

3. Ink-Jet printing on Silk, Wool, Polyamide (Acid ink)

Pre-treatment

  • Sarasol-1101 : 60-80 g/l
  • Sarakol-NF : 1-3 g/l
  • Urea : 80-100 g/l
  • Ammonium sulphate (25%) : 10-20 g/l
  • Supergen-MX : 10 g/l
  • Pad -> Dry -> Print (Ink-Jet printing)

Ink-Jet Printing

  • Printing : Ink-Jet with Acid ink
  • Steaming : 102-105 deg.C, 30-40 mins. followed by washing

Incase of Polyamide / Wool, fixation with 1-3% Sarafix - (NEW), pH 4.5-5.5 at 70-80 deg.C for 15-20 min is recommended.

Note:
  • Sarasol-1101 can be applied by coating with 50% diluted product.
  • Concentration of Sarasol-1101 to be added depending on GSM of fabric. For higher GSM fabric, lesser quantity of Sarasol-1101
Precautions

Storage : Store in cool, ventilated shed away from heat and direct sunlight. Storage temperature should not exceed 35 deg C. Close lids firmly to avoid contact with air and moisture.

Shelf Life : 9 months from the date of manufacturing, if stored under controlled conditions.
