Supernol-PE (Conc). is a self-emulsifying polyethylene wax which can be used to prepare ready to use polyethylene emulsion required for textile finishing. A diluted emulsion of Supernol-PE (Conc). can be used for finishing of cotton bottom weight, denim for softening as well as to impart lubricity. An emulsion of Supernol-PE (Conc). is also recommended for finishing of cotton knits, cotton shirting to improve sewability. Addition of emulsion of Supernol-PE (Conc). in resin, finishing minimises strength loss. Supernol-PE (Conc). does not affect whiteness or shade.

Instructions For Dilution
Procedure to make 20% of Supernol-PE (Conc).
In a reaction vessel, take 20 parts of Supernol-PE (Conc). and heat it to 130-140 deg.C to form a free-flowing clear liquid. Add this molten material gradually to 80 parts of DM water heated to 95 deg.C with high-speed stirring using Turbo stirrer at 2000-3000 rpm over 10 mins. Continue stirring for 60-120 mins for uniform emulsion and maintain 95 deg.C throughout stirring. Cool and filter if required. Creamish to the off-white stable emulsion is obtained. Repeated heating and cooling of wax and overheating above 140 deg.C will lead to further oxidation of wax which will change the physical appearance of a diluted emulsion. It is recommended to add 0.1% Bronopol (2, Bromo 2 Nitropropane, 1,3 Diol) or Methyl Paraben (Methyl Para Hydroxy Benzoate) as an antimicrobial agent to avoid fungal/microbial formation. If a diluted product shows a white translucent layer at the top, then stir before use.
Precautions
Storage: Store in cool, ventilated shed away from heat and direct sunlight. Storage temperature should not exceed 35 deg C.Close lids firmly to avoid contact with air and moisture.
