Note:

Drying at 145- 150 deg.C 90 sec. gives better results than 130- 140 deg.C

For garments, it is essential to cure at 150 deg.C after exhaustion.

Special Instructions:

- Fabric to be treated should be free from anionic components.

- Performance of Rubfast- 425 is achieved when it is used alone without any finishing agent as with some finishing agents, the performance of Rubfast- 425 slightly impairs.

- Do not use Rubfast- 425 in print paste.

- Pre- lab trials are recommended with other finishing agents.

- Absorbency of fabric should be instant. To improve absorbency of all over printed fabric (reactive/pigment), 0.2- 0.5 g/l Celldet- R (wetting agent) is to be added in the finishing bath.

- pH of the fabric should be neutral.

- First, pH of water to be adjusted to 5.0- 6.0 and then final pH with Rubfast- 425 should be 5.0- 6.0. This solution is stable upto 2 hours. If any precipitation is observed, stir using mechanical stirrer with low speed.

- To avoid precipitation formation, Rubfast- 425 (in neat form) to be mixed with 10 g/l Isopropanol and then diluted with pre- adjusted pH water.

- If finishing is to be done alongwith softener, then first prepare Rubfast- 425 solution and then add the softener into

- If fabric is biopoished than the Rubfast- 425 gives lower rating than nonbiopolished fabric.

- Use of softener is likely to reduce the performance of Rubfast- 425.

- Finished fabric to be dried only at 150 deg.C in stenter with minimum time.

- Rubfast- 425 is unstable to sodium citrate and exhibit limited stability to electrolytes.

- Addition of 2- 3g/l Saraline- FI makes the Rubfast- 425 solution robust (stable).

- Rubfast- 425 on standing during storage may become dark (reddish orange in colour)
