Sarapol-L is a special chemical for processing of 100% polyester and
polyester/cellulosic blends to impart pleasing soft handle with very good drape
and comfort properties. Finishing effect is stable to home laundering.
Sarapol-L is a cationic additive employed to accelerate hydrolysis of polyester
fibres in alkaline caustic bath and thereby facilitating its rapid weight
reduction.

1. Batch Process

Liquor ratio : 1 : 6 - 1 : 10
Temperature : 80 deg.C to 98 deg.C
Time : 45-60 min.
Sarapol-L : 2% - 4% (owf)
Caustic Soda Lye : 4% - 10% (owf)
Drain - Neutralise - Water wash
2. Pad Steam Process

Steaming Temperature : 100 deg.C
Steaming Time : 10 min.
Caustic Soda concentration : 150 to 250 g/l
Sarapol-L : 20 - 40 g/l
Pad nip, wet pick up of about 85-90%.
Steam at 100 deg.C for 10 min., rinse, neutralise and air
dry.
NOTE:
----
After the treatment, the fabric should be washed in bath containing 2 to 3 g/l
Kalium-NNS at 60 deg.C for 20 min., followed by neutralisation with acetic acid.

| Precautions |
Storage Store in cool, ventilated shed away from heat and direct sunlight. Storage temperature should not exceed 35 deg C. Close lids firmly to avoid contact with air and moisture. Shelf Life 6 months from the date of manufacturing, if stored under controlled conditions. |
