Saraquest-W is high power sequestering agent specially developed for scouring as
well as bleaching of cotton and polyester/cellulosic blends.
Saraquest-W has a high chelating action for calcium, magnessium and iron under
alkaline conditions and high temperature. Thus it not only prevents
precipitation of insoluble hydroxides and carbonates which are formed due to
alkali used in scouring and bleaching but also chelates iron impurities thereby
preventing catalytic damage and pin-hole marks during peroxide bleaching.

| Application |
1. In scouring, bleaching as well as combined scouring and
bleaching of cotton and blends by batch process:
0.5-1 g/l Saraquest-W can be added with usual recipe to prevent white deposits
as well as pin-hole marks due to iron. When Saraquest-W is added in the recipe,
concentration of organic stabiliser can be reduced due to stabilising action of
Saraquest-W.
2. For dyeing of reactives, vats & sulphur dyes upto 200-250 ppm
hard water, 0.5 g/l Saraquest-W can be added before addition
of dyebath conditioner/levelling agent to soften the water.
However, pretrials are recommended to arrive at required
concentration when Saraquest-W is necessary during dyeing.
3. For combined scouring and bleaching on continuous bleaching
range
0.5 gm/kg Saraquest-W is recommended
4. In bioscouring of cotton
0.3% Saraquest-W is recommended to prevent precipitation of
pectin residues at the end of bioscouring and before peroxide
bleaching. Quantity of peroxide stabiliser can be reduced
when Saraquest-W is added before bleaching.
Note: Please note that for dosing, 10% dilution of Saraquest-W
is recommended instead of neat solution.

Storage Store in cool, ventilated shed away from heat and direct sunlight. Storage temperature should not exceed 35 deg C. Close lids firmly to avoid contact with air and moisture. Shelf Life 6 months from the date of manufacturing, if stored under controlled conditions. |
